Trust in a brand is one of the most powerful things when building your business.


According to Forbes, 70% of consumers say trusting a brand is more important today than it was in the past. This is a shared belief among age groups, gender, and income. Just over 50% of consumers say trust is the second most important factor (only to price) when making purchasing decisions.

Here are some things to keep in mind when marketing your business:


Language matters. Don’t make false claims or promises about your product or services. Be honest and choose your words carefully.


Details matter too. Be sure to check and double check the information you’re putting out on social media or the Internet. If you make a mistake, you might not be able to take it back.


Give back to the community. Social responsibility is another big decision maker for consumers when they are researching products. Giving back makes us feel good too.
