We wrote a blog a while back, giving tips on how often your business should post, but we get the questions all the time, 'what platforms should we post to?'

Vero Beach Social Media
What Social Media Platforms Should I Focus On?

It's a great question and one that businesses should really figure out before planning their digital marketing strategy. Now, some businesses will say, 'I want to be on all of them!'. Well, that's not impossible (if you have the time, staff, and budget) but it still might not be the best strategy.

For example, we had a client come to us that was adamant that they wanted to advertise on Snapchat. I mean, they were 100% convinced this was the play they wanted to make. The problem? They were a senior living facility...not exactly the audience we're looking for. So, we recommended Facebook for the older demographic and Instagram for the kids of that demographic and the campaigns were fantastic.

For most companies in Vero Beach, Facebook and Instagram are going to be the platforms you'll want to use. We always say Vero Beach is 10 years behind the times and it takes awhile for our community to catch up to the TikTok's of the rest of the world. That being said, if you're looking to specifically hit a young demographic, Snapchat and TikTok should definitely be on your radar.

Our recommendation is to find your primary demographic, learn which platforms they're on, and hammer on those consistently. There is no use in trying to post, advertise, monitor, reply to comments, etc. on 7 different platforms if you can't do it consistently and effectively. Start with one, then move to two, then move to three, so on and so forth. You also want to make sure your content and copy is created with the platforms in mind...more on that in a future blog.

Of course, if you have any questions and would like to chat more about this, you can always contact us at Vero Beach Social Media. We would love to help.
